Schiphol overtakes Madrid as fourth busiest European airport

Amsterdam Schiphol airport overtook Madrid as Europe’s fourth busiest airport during the past twelve months.

Schiphol handled one million extra passengers, bringing the total to 50.98 million, while Madrid saw passenger numbers fall 8.9% to 45.12 million.

London Heathrow remains Europe’s busiest airport, followed by Paris and Frankfurt.
