Ryanair sets its sights on Schiphol
Budget airline Ryanair is hoping to add Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport to its list of destinations within five years, chief executive Michael O’Leary told a news conference in Belgium on Wednesday.
Airport Coordination Netherlands, which decides on airport access, told news agency ANP Ryanair had applied for slots at Schiphol for next summer but has since withdrawn the application.
Ryanair already offers flights from Eindhoven, Maastricht and Groningen.
