Pet shop owner jailed for three years after 140 animals die
The owner of a pet shop in Rotterdam where 140 dead animals were found in June has been jailed for three years.
The court ruled the man had failed to look after the animals properly. Among the animals which are thought to have starved to death were dingos, lizards, chinchillas and rattlesnakes, news agency ANP reported.
As well as jail, the man has been banned from trading in animals for five years.
