Dangerous chemicals firms still break fire safety rules
At least 121 firms which store dangerous chemicals have not yet implemented proper fire safety measures despite being told to do so in 2011.
Environment ministry inspectors earmarked 151 companies for special attention two years ago, after it emerged they were not meeting safety targets.
Of those, 121 have still failed to make improvements, the inspectors said. The report has been presented to junior minister Wilma Mansveld, who will decide what action to take.
