PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord took advantage of Ajax’s Friday slip against Heerenveen, cutting the lead at the top of the premier division to just four points.
Reigning champions Ajax were held to a 1-1 draw by the Frisian side on Friday while PSV booked a 3-1 win against AZ Alkmaar.
Feyenoord of Rotterdam beat second-placed Vitesse of Arnhem 2-0.
The weekend’s football action means Ajax are on 67 points with three matches to play. PSV and Feyenoord are on 63 and Vitesse is a clear fourth on 61 points.
