A sponsorship deal with Rotterdam port means the annual North Sea jazz festival will now be officially known as the Port of Rotterdam North Sea Jazz Festival.
The port authorities, city council and festival organisers have agreed the three-day event will be held in Rotterdam for at least the next five years.
This year’s festival takes place as usual in the Ahoy complex from July 12 to 14. Santana, John Legend and Sting are among the big names signed up so far.
The festival has been based in Rotterdam for eight years. Prior to that it was held in The Hague.
