There are five Dutch universities in the latest top 100 of the Times university world reputation rankings but again, like last year, none in the top 50.
Delft University of Technology is once again the top-rated Dutch academic institution, coming in the 51 to 60 band. Leiden is in 61 to 70, Amsterdam and Utrecht are in the 71 to 80 band and Wageningen in the last.
Dutch education minister Jet Bussemaker said she was pleased with the result, noting only the US, Britain and Australia have more institutions in the top 100.
The ranking is based on the ‘subjective judgement’ of nearly 17,000 academics worldwide.
