Bam wins contract to build new Google HQ in London
Dutch building group Bam has won the contract to build Google’s new £1bn headquarters in central London, the Financial Times reports.
The paper says Bam beat off companies like Carillion, Skanska and Balfour Beatty to win the deal from the US technology group. Construction is expected to start this year with work due to be finished in 2016.
Bam’s previous projects in Britain include the Riverside Museum in Glasgow, designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid.
