Talpa relents on local council talent show
The town council of Hollands Kroon has been given the go ahead after all to recruit new staff using the same methods as television talent show Voice of Holland.
Like the television show, Hollands Kroon had been planning to have its selection board seated on red chairs with their backs to candidates. The job hopefuls would then have two minutes to present themselves. If the judges turned round, the candidates would be through to the next round.
But last week television production company Talpa warned the council it would be breaking copyright rules if it went ahead.
The council has now dropped the Voice of Holland logo from its publicity material and can now go ahead with the event, a council spokesman told Nos television.
