Arrests as police raid trailer park in marijuana hunt
At least 19 people have been arrested as part of an investigation into the trade of marijuana at a trailer park in the north of Eindhoven, Nos television said on Tuesday.
Seven people who live on the estate and 12 other people were helping process marijuana plants. The plants were not grown on the park itself, the broadcaster said.
Dozens of police officers and government officials took part in the raid. Nos says the army was also involved, using special equipment to try to find hidden storage spaces.
All 13 caravans on the park were searched and various property, including unnamed luxury goods, was seized.
Last year, the mayor of a small town south of Eindhoven called for nationwide action to combat lawlessness on trailer parks.
