Dutch gas firm Noordzee in Russian hands

Russian gas giant Gazprom has taken over BASF’s 50% stake in Dutch natural gas company Noordzee as part of a major asset swap.


Rijswijk-based Noordzee is involved in extracting gas from several wells in the Dutch section of the North Sea.
Earlier this year, Gazprom opened a sales office in the Netherlands.
