Biggest health insurer freezes basic premium, top-ups rise 8%

The Netherlands’ biggest health insurance group Achmea is freezing the premium for the basic health insurance package next year.


Achmea, which has some four million policy holders, is the second of the big companies to publish its 2013 rates. Menzis said last month it was cutting its premium by €0.50 per month.
The cost of Achmea’s top-up policies is going up by up to 8%.
