Joran van der Sloot, currently serving a 28-year sentence for murder in a Peruvian jail and still suspected of the murder of Dutch woman Natalee Holloway, is to become a father, the Telegraaf claims on Monday.

Van der Sloot’s Peruvian girlfriend, Leidi, is more than three months pregnant, according to his lawyer, Maximo Altez.
Leidi became pregnant during an unsupervised prison visit,’ Van der Sloot told the Telegraaf in a telephone conversation.
The Dutchman, who has twice been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Holloway, is also wanted in the US on blackmailing charges. He is said to have taken €250,000 from her mother in return for information on the whereabouts of her daughter’s body.
Earlier this year, Peru said it would extradite Van der Sloot to the US.
