In total, 1,255 natural redheads gathered in Breda this weekend, allowing the city to claim a world record for the most red-headed people in one place.

The previous record involved 890 people with auburn and ginger locks and was set in Washington in 2010.
According to one report, between 4,000 to 5,000 natural redheads from around the world showed up for the event, but only 1,255 met the rules set out by the Guinness Book of Records organisation.
The redheads had to stand between fences for 10 minutes to qualify for the record.
