Oranje beat Hungary 4-1 in second World Cup qualifier

Louis van Gaal’s new-look Dutch side booked a 4-1 victory over Hungary in their second World Cup qualifier on Tuesday evening.

PSV’s Jeremain Lens, replacing injured Arjen Robben, was man of the match, scoring twice and setting up a third goal for Klaas Jan Huntelaar. Young defender Bruno Martens made it four by scoring his first international goal.
Van Gaal said after the match it was a ‘fantastic result’ but that the Netherlands had failed to take advantage of all the chances left open by the somewhat disorganised Hungarian squad.
