Dutch economy contracted 0.4% in second quarter

The Dutch economy contracted 0.4% in the second quarter of this year, the national statistics office CBS said on Monday.

The CBS said in mid-August the economy had shrunk 0.5% between April and June.
Quarter on quarter the economy grew 0.2%, unchanged from earlier forecasts.
The upwards revision stems from higher than forecast exports which have boosted the trade surplus, the CBS said.
