There may still be over 100 days before the Sinterklaas festivities on December 5 but a supermarket in Groningen is already selling the traditional gingernut biscuits known as pepernoten, the AD reports.

The store has put 30 packets on display, the manager of the Spar supermarket told the paper. ‘We actually wanted to start last week but the weather was too good,’ he said.
