Dutch family missing after Italian gas explosion
A couple from the Netherlands and their 18-month-old baby are thought to be among the people missing after a gas explosion in the centre of southern Italian town Conversano, the Telegraaf quotes local media as saying.
Ten people, including a child, were injured in the blast, which brought down two buildings. It is not clear how many people are missing, but one of the buildings was empty at the time of the incident, local media said.
The couple, a Dutch woman and Italian man who runs a restaurant in the Netherlands, arrived in the area two days ago for a holiday. Their car is reportedly close to the buildings which collapsed and they are not answering their phone, the Telegraaf said.
