Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw concert hall raised €8,775,000 through its jubilee share issue, the organisation said on Monday evening.
In total, 702 individuals signed up for a €12,500 share, which also gives them access to private concerts. The fund was launched to mark the concert hall’s 125th anniversary.
The money generated by the fund will eventually pay for painting the main auditorium and installing a new climate management system, director Simon Reinink said.
