Socialists lose popularity, Labour and PVV draw level in new poll
Support for the Socialist Party (SP) has fallen in the latest Synovate opinion poll, which also puts the anti-Islam PVV and Labour party level pegging, website nu.nl reports on Thursday.
The poll says the SP would win 26 seats if there was a general election tomorrow, down four on two weeks ago.
The ruling VVD Liberals are also down two seats on 33. The poll shows gains for Geert Wilders’ PVV, which it puts on 23 seats, an increase of three on the previous poll. Labour, currently in the middle of a leadership contest is up two to draw level with the PVV on 23.
Synovate says the PVV would appear to have benefited from its call for a return to the guilder, nu.nl reports.
