Rinnooy Kan to leave SER
Alexander Rinnooy Kan is to step down as chairman of the government’s SER advisory body on September 1.
The 62-year-old will take up a professorship at Amsterdam university.
The cabinet had just decided to extend his contract when it runs out on April 1.
Social affairs minister Henk Kamp told the press Rinnooy Kan is an ‘aimiable and professional man’ and he is pleased he can stay for a few more months while a suitable successor is found.
Rinnooy Kan was appointed chairman of SER in August 2006.
