Book chain Selexyz asks for court protection from creditors
Book shop chain Selexyz has applied for court protection from creditors because it does not have enough money to pay shop rents and staff salaries, the company said in a statement.
Selexyz, which operates 15 book shops nationwide including Donner in Rotterdam and Verwijs in The Hague, had been trying to bring in a potential new investor but those talks appear to have now failed.
The company has been in financial difficulties for some time and underwent a reorganisation last year.
