The 64 official victims of paedophile swimming teacher Benno L will each get compensation of around €14,000 now the swimming school’s insurance company has agreed to pay out €900,000, RTL news reports.

The agreement has been reached after months of consultations between the insurance company and lawyers for the victims. The agreement will make further recourse to the courts unnecessary, RTL says.
Benno L lost his appeal against his conviction for abusing dozens of children, mainly girls, at a swimming school in Den Bosch last year. He is serving a six-year jail term.
