The boy was identified on security cameras and by eyewitnesses, ANP said. The supermarket was completely destroyed in the blaze and has since been demolished.
The under-12s in the Netherlands cannot face criminal prosecution.
Buses
Meanwhile, a 13-year-old boy from Veldhoven has been arrested for causing more than €100,000 worth of damage to public transport service buses.
The boy broke into the bus station several times last month and sprayed paint over seats and electronics in at least eight buses, Nos television said.
