Traffic jams cost the country around €1bn last year
Traffic jams and road congestion cost Dutch industry between €900m and €1.2bn last year, according to research group TNO, quoted in Monday’s Telegraaf.
Most of the delays were caused by road works and weather conditions, TNO said.
The worst traffic blackspot was the A2 between Holendrecht and Oudenrijn, which led to damages totalling €24.7m. Delays on the A12 between Gouwe and Oudenrijn was also a major cost to industry.
