Some 40% of students on internships in the Netherlands get no pay, while 20% earn less than €150 a month, according to a survey of 500 interns by trade union federation FNV.

Some 15%, mostly those on college or university courses, earn more than €300, the survey showed.
One in four interns has complaints about the quality of their internship and the leadership they are given.
