The 18-year-old girl shot dead in a supermarket in Almelo was the ex-girlfriend of the gunman, the AD reports on Saturday.

Ashana Selima Wahl was a cashier at the C1000 supermarket in the town and was working when she was hit several times by bullets, the paper says. The gunman is said to be a trainee policeman, but it is not clear if he used his police gun to carry out the murder, the AD said.
The man was later found dead at a house in Almelo, leaving two suicide notes behind, the paper said.
