Dutch rock band Kane breaks up

Dutch rock bank Kane is to split up in the New Year, the band says on its website. ‘This time we have concluded that 2012 should be different… in short, it is time to go our separate ways,’ the website states.

Kane first hit the charts in 1999 with their debut single Where Do I Go Now?. The debut album As Long As You Want spent 18 months in the Dutch album charts. In total, Kane has made five albums.
Three members of the band, including singer Dinand Woesthoff, will continue to write music together as Kane but ‘taking a different direction’. The other three will pursue new projects, the website says.
