Wadden Sea seal population reaches record
Over 24,000 seals are swimming around in the Wadden Sea – which stretches from the Netherlands to Germany and Denmark, researchers said on Wednesday.
The total is 9% up on the August 2010 figure. In particular, there is a sharp increase in the number of young seals, the Wadden Sea society said.
