PVV MP still pushing for youth wing

PVV MP Hero Brinkman is at odds with his party again for wanting to set up a youth wing. He says not holding a special day for young members is ‘unacceptable’, according to press reports.

Brinkman has been calling for more openness within the party for some time and was working on preparations for a youth day. The rest of the party is against the idea.
The MP twittered on Tuesday afternoon: ‘Youth day PVV shot down by party. They want secrecy and max. 200 young people. Unacceptable.’
He is now planning to hold a youth day in Noord-Holland where the party has no control, according to the MP.
Brinkman says he will continue to argue for more democracy within the PVV, which has only one member – party founder Geert Wilders – and no party conferences.
