‘Poorly prepared’ PVV parliamentarian quit inquiry committee

The parliamentary commission looking into the effect of government efforts to tackle the financial crisis is to continue with six members following the resignation of Dion Graus from the anti-Islam PVV.

Graus stood down earlier this week, complaining he was not being allowed to question witnesses freely and the PVV has decided not to send a replacement.
However, according to Trouw, Graus may have resigned after other members criticised his questioning style and lack of preparation.
According to recordings of the committee hearings, Graus asked former ABN Amro Nederland CEO Jan Peter Schmittmann if would not have been better to nationalise parts of the bank. Schmittmann then pointed out this had been done.
