Lloyds Bank to cut Dutch workforce

Between 25 and 30 of the 55 people working at Lloyds Bank Nederland will lose their jobs in the next few months, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday.

The paper bases its claims on bank and union sources. The job losses focus on back office operations which currently take place in Haarlem but are being shifted back to Britain, the paper says.
The shake-up is part of a major reorganisation at the Lloyds Banking Group which posted a loss of €4.4bn in the first nine months of this year.
Lloyds bank branches in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, which focus on corporate loans, are not affected, the paper says.
