Heineken wants Wijers for supervisory board top job

Brewing group Heineken wants to appoint Hans Wijers as president of its supervisory board in 2013, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Tuesday.

Wijers, current CEO at AkzoNobel, will be nominated to join the supervisory board at next year’s AGM. A year later he will take over the presidency from Kees van Lede, the paper says.
Wijers, a former economic affairs minister, is standing down from AkzoNobel next year. He is also on the supervisory board of oil giant Shell.
