Libya is keen to try the surviving son of former leader Muammar Gaddafi on its own turf, rather than hand him over to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the Volkskrant reports on Tuesday afternoon.

The paper says chief prosecutor Morenco Ocampo is currently in Tripoli to discuss the fate of Saif al-Islam and security chief Abdullah Al-Senussi, who were captured last weekend.
The paper says the new Libyan authorities want to try the two men for crimes against humanity in the town of Zintan, where they are currently being held.
However, the ICC issued arrest warrants for both men in June and is keen to see them brought to the Netherlands for trial, the paper says.
