A 24-year-old Dutch-Pakistani is fighting extradition to the US where he is wanted on terrorism charges, the NRC reports on Friday.


The US has accused the man, known as Sabir K, of working together with the Al-Qaeda terror group to conspire to attack US military personnel in Afghanistan.
K was arrested in Pakistan earlier this year and sent back to the Netherlands, where he was again arrested on arrival. He claims he was tortured during his detention in Pakistan.
K’s lawyer said on Friday he is appealing to the Netherlands’ supreme court in an effort to have the extradition ruling overturned.
