Refugee centre boss loses first unfair suspension claim
The head of the country’s asylum seeker centre organisation COA has lost the first stage of her fight to be reinstated.
Nurten Albayrak was suspended last month following allegations she had lied about her salary and had bullied staff.
A court in The Hague said the refugee group had enough grounds to send Albayrak home and that her salary was higher than had been agreed.
Immigration minister Gerd Leers has launched an investigation into events at the COA and Albayrak’s role.
