Primary school head jailed for child porn offences
The former head of a primary school in Almere has been jailed for two years – nine months suspended – for possessing and distributing child pornography.
The man, named as Rene M, 64, was a member of child porn network Dreamboard and had left at least 300 messages on the website’s forums.
He was arrested in January after the network was broken up by US justice officials. Police found some 50,000 illegal photographs on his computer.
So far, 52 of the 72 people charged in the two-year investigation have been arrested and 13 have confessed, according to US media reports in August, when the story broke.
