The Dutch bought fewer bikes in the first half of this year but did buy more expensive ones, according to road users organisations Bovag and RAI.

In total, 663,000 bikes were bought, down 8.6% on a year ago. But the average price rose over 6% to €747.37.
Specialist bike shops increased their market share slightly to 67%.
