Netherlands to remain with Nato Libyan mission

The Netherlands is to remain part of the Nato mission in Libya for the coming months, the defence and foreign ministers told parliament on Wednesday.

The Dutch contribution will remain six F-16 fighter jets, a minesweeper and personnel, the ministers said. However the jets are likely to see less action as the military surveillance winds down, they said.
The Netherlands has been involved with the mission since March but has been careful not to take an active military role.
