Major union Bondgenoten again rejects revised pension reform plan
The giant general workers union Bondgenoten has again rejected the government’s revised pension reform plan, saying it does not go far enough to meet members’ objections.
On Friday, social affairs minister Henk Kamp won majority support in parliament for the plan, after agreeing to make more concessions. In particular, he agreed to include extra help for low income workers who still want to retire at 65.
The FNV-affiliated union will explain its continuing objections to the plan to the rest of the federation board on Monday.
According to the Financieele Dagblad, the FNV-affiliated civil service union Abvakabo is also still opposed to the plan.
