Government warned on gambling
Unless the government does more to combat gambling addiction, MPs will torpedo plans to liberalise the gambling laws, Nos television news reports on Wednesday
Junior justice minister Fred Teeven, who is in charge of gambling policy, plans to licence internet-based gambling and to allow other players to compete with the state-owned Holland Casino group.
Opposition MPs had already criticised the liberalisation plans but now the ruling CDA has joined in the protests, Nos says.
