The Netherlands will be hit by the first autumn storm of this year on Tuesday, weather forecasters say.

While the morning will be dry with sunny spells, winds of up to gale force nine will batter the coastline later in the day. Heavy rain will also fall at times, with coastal areas again hardest hit.
By the weekend, the strong winds will have subsided and the sun will be back, with temperatures around 20 Celsius, the KNMI weather bureau said.
