World and Olympic speed skating champion Sven Kramer is now fully recovered from a thigh injury which led to him dropping out of international competition last season, the Volkskrant reports.

‘I am completely free of my injuries,’ Kramer is quoted as saying at a meeting in Friesland. ‘I can now do what I want during training without pain. That is such a relief.’
Kramer will now take part in the Dutch championships at the beginning of November, in the 5km at least.
