A number of windows on the stairwell of E tower were broken and there is a small hole in the wall of one of the towers, television pictures show.
Nos television says eyewitnesses report hearing an explosion and watching two men drive off on a motorbike.
No threats
No-one was injured, the court has received no threats and Wednesday’s hearings are to continue as normal, a court spokesman said.
Police and forensic experts are currently investigating the incident and have confirmed there was an explosion, news agency ANP says.
Four years ago there was a mortar attack on Amsterdam’s high security court in Osdorp.
