Opta investigates 0800 telephone numbers

Communications watchdog Opta is looking into charges made by mobile telephone service providers to companies using 0800 numbers, the Telegraaf reports.

0800 numbers are used by companies to provide telephone access to customers. The calls are free to the caller. The user pays.
At the moment there is no good alternative for this service which is leading to higher prices, says Opta.
