More than 50% of youngsters don’t mind working cash in hand
More than half of the Netherlands’ 12 to 24-year-olds do not mind working for cash in hand and 20% actually prefer to do so, according to research for television show EenVandaag.
The one in five who prefer to work outside the books say they like it because they earn more and they have more freedom about when to work.
Almost 30% of the 1,440 youngsters polled do not think they are committing a criminal offence by working black.
The minimum wage for an 18-year-old in the Netherlands is €30.19 a day.
