Dutch interest rates for consumers highest in Europe

Dutch consumers pay an average of 8.8% interest on a five year loan of €15,000 which is the highest rate in Europe, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday without quoting sources.


Belgium is next with an average interest rate of 8.3%. The cheapest country is Luxemburg, where the interest payable on a similar loan is 5.5%, the paper says.
