Wolters Kluwer divests pharmaceuticals information arm

Publishing group Wolters Kluwer is divesting its pharmaceuticals information services, the company announced at the publication of its second quarter results on Wednesday.

The decision means the company’s health division will now focus on providing information to medical professionals. Wolters Kluwer is taking a write-off of €106m on the unit and hopes to complete the sale by the end of the year.
Wolters Kluwer booked sales of €1.6bn in the first six months of this year, a rise of 1% on a year ago and well below analysts’ expectations.
