Wallet recovered after 18 years, complete with guilders

A 35-year-old man who lost his wallet at a sports centre 18 years ago has finally got it back, after it turned up during the renovation of a locker room, the Telegraaf reports.

The wallet, complete with 22 guilders in cash, a school pass and a French test, appears to have fallen behind the lockers when Dolf Eggink was using the changing room at the age of 17.
The sports centre has sent him a bunch of flowers and two tickets to test out the new facilities. Dolf gave the centre staff a box of chocolates.
