One man was killed and another seriously injured when their car was driven off the road by another car thought to have been involved in a race, local television station RTV Utrecht reports.

The broadcaster says the car the men were traveling in was hit from behind by a BMW which was driving at very high speed along with another vehicle.
The car left the road and hit a tree head on. The victims had to be cut free by the fire brigade.
The driver of the BMW was arrested but the other car – thought to be a dark BMW or Audi – drove off.
